"Comfort my people." Isaiah 40:1
Ever since I read the Yarn Bombing book, I knew one of the places I wanted to tag was at my church. I wanted it to be inconspicuous so it didn't detract from the building's design elements. There's a basketball goal behind the church and I thought it would be a good place to tag. I measured it this past Saturday before we attended worship services, and worked on the tag last night.
I think the people most likely to see this crochet graffiti are the church staff members, who are the shepherds in charge of guiding the church goers. They do a fantastic job of spreading the Gospel and comforting God's people, so I chose this Scripture in hopes of inspiring them.
I made the tag a little too big, but thankfully I tied strings on different areas of it so I could tighten it a bit.
All three of the tags I've made so far have been too big for their intended spots. I guess I need to scale it down!
